As women we are programmed to care for others. We tend to put ourselves last and let our health take a back seat to the other things going on in our life. When I become a first time mom this was true for me too. Until after my second child, Hailey, was born and I became tired of being tired! I was putting all of my energy into my kids and had none left to take care of myself. But, we were also on a tight budget that didn’t allow for an expensive gym membership.
I borrowed P90X from my sister-in-law and committed to following the program. It took me 5 months to complete the 90 day program, but when I finished I was in the best shape of my life. Then I found out I was pregnant again (funny how that works) and everyone told me with the THIRD child it would take a lot longer to lose the baby weight.
With 3 kids, I cut back to 30 minute workouts and found that I could still get in great shape, maintain a healthy weight, and have tons of energy – all while doing the workouts from the comfort of my own home, on my schedule, and with little to no equipment. - P90X3 – This is my all-time favorite program purely because of the variety of the workouts. The base kit contains 17 different workouts, including cardio, resistance training with free
weights, Pilates for core strength, and Yoga for balance and flexibility. Each workout is 30 minutes, warm up and cool down included. The program is challenging (intermediate – advanced), but there is a modifier on screen for those just starting out. 4. Insanity Max 30 – If you want an insane workout that’ll whip you into shape and burn 400-500 calories in just 30 minutes, this is it! It is without a doubt the hardest program I’ve ever done, but I felt amazing after every workout. You’ll slim down and tone up with short effective workouts – no equipment needed.
